2nd project for Dylan

This is a quilt I did for the Pastor's new baby boy. The pattern is the disappearing 9-patch.














The puppy dog fabric on beige background was the inspiration for the quilt.

I did about 5 of these paw-print embroideries.

The rest was stitch-in-the-ditch.

Full view of front. This was a project that all the women of our church participated in. Each woman or girl was given a square and heart or bear and told to decorate as they wished. When I received them all back, I squared them up, sewed them together, backed and quilted it. We presented it to the Pastor's wife for her new baby boy. I had the center square, and I did a ribbon banner with the baby's name and birth date embroidered on it.
