This pin is 1-3/4" square. It is entirely hand stitched.
First I reduced the pattern to the desired size on the photocopier; then I traced it onto my foundation (a recycled dryer sheet). Then I handstitched the fabric pieces. It took me 2 hours, but this is the first hand-stitched item I've ever done. Then I sandwiched the piece (quilt/batting/cardstock), turned 1/4" to the back and glued. Then I cut a piece of vinyl to cover the back and glued a pin back on.
If I can find a small enough jewelry charm, I thought I'd add a bird!
