StephC over at threehourspast (dot) com has been working fervently on producing her own line of sewing patterns. Her new pattern company, Cake, is close to publishing its first pattern (WooHooSteph)... the Tiramisu... a beautiful dress designed for knits... and a BIG plus in my book... it has side-seam pockets! Follow the link and join the fun (and celebration) to vote for the Tiramisu lady's (that would be the lady featured on the pattern jacket) name and enter to win a fabulous piece of navy with white polka dot jersey fabric... perfect for the Tiramisu dress pattern. http://3hourspast.com/2012/08/31/vote-now-to-name-the-tiramisu-lady/

2nd project for Dylan
Project for Dylan

Closeup showing quilting & stippling
Closeup of backside

Full view of front. This was a project that all the women of our church participated in. Each woman or girl was given a square and heart or bear and told to decorate as they wished. When I received them all back, I squared them up, sewed them together, backed and quilted it. We presented it to the Pastor's wife for her new baby boy. I had the center square, and I did a ribbon banner with the baby's name and birth date embroidered on it.

New Projects
Currently, I'm working on some projects for pets. My sister is a volunteer foster mom for the Nebraska Dachshund Rescue. I am currently making doggy diapers (remember plastic pants that covered cloth diapers?) for female dogs. I will post pics when I get them.

Upholstry project
A commissioned project... new cushions for a wicker patio set that includes a couch, rocker, chair, and footstool.
These are the cushions BEFORE the project begins.

Old covers reduced to a bunch of pattern pieces.
Bare cushions awaiting their new coverings.
Couch cushions almost complete...
just need to add buttons to the outer two pillows.
Can't wait to see the new cushions on the wicker!

Quilt for Lily

Her room is decorated in black & white w/pink accents.
The pattern is Patrick Lose's Hugs & Kisses.
The hearts, stars, Xs & Os are appliqued with the button-hole stitch.
The backing is solid black...
I wanted the quilting to really showcase on the back of the quilt.
I shadow-stitched around the applique'd pieces,
monogrammed XO in the center of the 6" plain blocks,
and used a clasp stitch in the center of the 4-patch blocks.
Here's a close-up of the XO monogram,
some of the shadow stitching, and the decorative stitch
I used inside the narrow sashing between the top & border.
